I’m a full stack software developer, highly interested in back-end development. I'm a recent graduate (and class valedictorian) of Chicago Codes, an 11-week immersive Python coding program that’s a collaboration between the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership and Coding Dojo.
Prior to starting my tech journey, I spent several years helping customers and colleagues identify and solve problems, leading me to start my own skincare business in 2015. I created my own organic, natural skin moisturizer from scratch and handled all of my own marketing, finances, and production, consistently increasing sales each year and building relationships with customers in various cities across the US.
In the fall of 2018, I realized that I wanted to attain programming skills that would help me to create a more diverse range of products and systems that can make an even bigger impact on people’s lives. I started teaching myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript via online programs and eventually applied and was accepted to Chicago Codes, being chosen out of 100s of other applicants for their first cohort of students.
I would love to add value to an organization that solves problems for all types of people and helps enhance the daily lives of others.
